(Source: Press release) Statkraft, Europe’s largest producer of renewable energy and leader in carbon and environmental commodity markets, has appointed Patrick Pfeiffer as Managing Director of the newly setup Statkraft US LLC, effective 8 September 2015.
As Managing Director of the San Francisco office, Patrick will be responsible for Statkraft’s expansion into the Californian and US environmental markets. He brings with him relevant experience, having worked eight years in environmental markets, most recently for the leading carbon offset company EOS Climate, as Director of Sales and Trading. Pfeiffer will report to Stef Peters, Head of Statkraft Global Environmental Markets and also Chairman of the Board of Statkraft US LLC.
“We are excited to blend Patrick’s experience with the European environmental markets expertise of the teams in Amsterdam and Oslo which will now also be applied to the US environmental markets,” says Stef Peters. “Patrick will initially focus on the California carbon market, development of innovative solutions for the compliance market, and advising clients on carbon management strategies. His experience in the US environmental markets will be invaluable for our team and we are looking forward to continued success for Statkraft with Patrick as our Managing Director,” Peters concludes.
