Dearman to exhibit cutting edge zero emission technology at major North American expo

(Source:Fleet PointThe Advanced Clean Transportation Expo (ACT Expo) is running from 30th April to 2nd May and is one of North America’s leading events to showcase the latest transport technologies.The ground-breaking liquid nitrogen-powered Dearman Engine will be featuring as an alternative to polluting diesel technologies. The Dearman Engine eliminates all emissions of nitrogen oxide and particulate matter, providing a significant improvement in air quality, while also reducing noise, waste heat and carbon emissions.The Expo’s key themes for this year include technologies to support goods movement and urban mobility. 3,500 visitors are expected, as well as 650 fleet operators, and 125 industry speakers including Dearman board director Professor Toby Peters.The most advanced application of the Dearman Engine is to power a highly efficient, zero emission transport refrigeration unit (TRU) which is used to keep food cool in transit. California’s Air Resources Board is tackling pollution from diesel TRUs through tougher regulation, requiring all TRUs to be registered, and encouraging a shift to cleaner technologies.
