California drivers get 2.2-cent tax cut

(Source: The San Diego Tribune) California drivers will pay 2.2 cents less per gallon of gasoline, starting in July, after a divided Board of Equalization voted to cut the excise tax. The current rate is 30 cents per gallon and will stay in effect until June 30. The lower rate will go down to 27.8 cents a gallon once the new fiscal year starts. Read full article
