Trading Report

  • CCA prices fell throughout the week, closing at USD 15.13 for the front (V17 Oct17) and USD 15.15 for the benchmark (V17 Dec17) with a weekly loss of USD 0.13
  • OCA Dec 17 benchmark prices fell to CAD 19.16 (USD 15.15)
  • OI saw a positive net change of 1,794,000 contracts
  • Weekly traded volumes rose sharply to reach 15,587,000 tons

Price Expectations

  • Indicators point to quite market in term of price and volume till the upcoming auction
  • Increasing OI on 2018 deliveries suggest the market is looking further ahead optimistically
  • November auction expected to see auction clearing near US $15.00

CCO Tracker

  • Over 141K ARBOCs were issued to five projects over the past week by ARB
  • 91.2K credits issued to The Conservation Fund’s Big River/Salmon Creek Forests (CAR1100) IFM project
  • CCO prices have registered a dip on last Tuesday
  • The backlog of ROCs now stands at over 34.9 million
